Do you ever feel like you’re hitting a wall?

I know I have but the good news is that I’ve found a great way out.

Hand on heart, sometimes it’s felt hopelessly hard to change the old patterns, stories, and beliefs.

If you sometimes feel that way too, it’s with good reason.

It’s said that 95% of our thoughts, emotions, and behavior are governed by our subconscious minds.

In other words, we often simply do not know what is driving our behavior.

So no wonder, it can seem hopelessly hard to establish new ways of being.

What to know my secret way out?

It’s so simple, you might even miss it.

I simply draw my way into how I want the best scenarios for my future to be.

Before you dismiss this tool, thinking it’s either too simple or even childish, I just want to point you to a couple of reasons why drawing is such a great tool to help “change your mind” for the better.

Drawing helps you:

  1. Free up your limited, analytical thinking so that you can explore new solutions to old problems.
  2. Establish new, neural pathways in the brain that will change your mindset.
  3. Be a visual reminder of where your focus needs to go next to get to where you want to be.

The trick is to draw with your INTENTION, fortunately, this has very little to do with being good at drawing at all.

In other words, you don’t have to draw perfect, or pretty for drawing to be a tool for personal transformation.

As long as you can hold a pen in your hand and you’ve got some plain paper, and perhaps a cosy cup of tea, you’re good to go.

The method I teach is called “Intentional Creativity” – I teach it in the ON TRACK Map online course, as part of the Mind Mastery module (I’m certified in this method, I didn’t just make it up.)

I personally use intentional drawing every day, when I journal my way into the future scenarios that I want for my life.

This morning I was reminded about the importance of FOCUS and how we need to bring attention to where our focus goes.

You probably heard the saying:

“Energy flows where attention goes”,

so better watch your focus.
